Above are some pictures of the main room. You can see the sink and the other counter where the trays are for print developing. We also put up a bunch of shelving for chemical storage and what not.
Take a look at the huge safelights that Leah got for free from school. They are great. We have them all wired to switchable outlets so they can be switched off and on just like the normal lights.
Opposite the counter, we did the whole wall in pegboard for even more storage. In the back corner, you can just make out the intake for the ventilation system that can vent the entire room in about 5 minutes. It makes working around all those chemicals for a long time much easier .
The above shots here are of the smaller room off to the side of the main room. Here, there are some shelves to for the enlarger and other things. Leah painted the black surround to be sure that no reflected light or anything gets into this area where she exposes the prints under the enlarger. We did the same thing here with the switchable outlets on the ceiling and smaller safelights. This room is controlled separately from the other room.
The only thing that we didn't get a good picture of is the light trap entrance. This makes it so that no door of any kind into the darkroom is necessary, You can just walk in and out, but light cannot get in.
Future plans include a print drying rack and a new enlarger.
