I almost made a big mistake while building this. Luckily, I took a break for dinner and thought about it and went back and fixed it.

The description that I had said that the trailer was 56 inches wide. I thought that sounded good, so I cut the axle and welded it all up so that it was a total of 56 inches wide just like it said. Then, after thinking about it,

realized how dumb that was. Being 56 inches wide only left about 40 inches between the wheels. I couldn't even fit a piece of plywood on it then! I went back and cut it and added another 8 inches in there so that if I need to, I can also use the trailer to haul plywood, drywall, and anything else that comes standard in a 4 foot width. I am glad I caught that one.
Leah and I spent a couple of hours today painting the entire thing. I think it turned out looking pretty sharp. Hopefully it stays that way for a while. I got all the lights and everything working so I think it is now good to go! It seems to balance out really well with a bike on it and is small and light enough to move around really easily. Next to come is the buggy towbar/dolly.
Trailer

I started building myself a new motorcycle trailer this weekend. I had to start by tearing apart that old buggy trailer that was falling apart. There was a lot of good steel to use from that. It took me about 3 days of off and on work to get this finished. What I was shooting for was a two rail trailer that would be small and light enough to easily move around.

I found a pretty good picture of one that a company online sold for about 700 bucks. It gave me all of the dimensions and everything so I just worked from that picture and the description that was given to me.

Here is the trailer all welded up before painting.
